Planning your ServiceNow instance upgrade

To prepare your ServiceNow instance for an upgrade to the Gold release, follow these steps:


Read the Release Notes

Check out the Gold Release Notes for InstanceSync, DataSync, ServiceBond, ServiceOps, and Service Provider Gateway below to determine whether the features, enhancements, and fixes in the release are necessary to improve the performance of your Perspectium integration.

Stop all Perspectium jobs

Log into any ServiceNow instances that have Perspectium update sets committed to them, and click Perspectium Control and Configuration > Stop All Jobs to stop running all Perspectium jobs on each instance.

Preview and commit new update sets

Contact Perspectium Support to request download links for the Gold update sets that apply to your Perspectium integration. Then, preview and commit the update sets to the applicable instances.

Run Finish Install scripts and start all Perspectium jobs

After committing Gold update sets to your instance, navigate to PerspectiumControl and ConfigurationFinish Install and click Confirm to run the Perspectium Finish Install scripts. Then, click PerspectiumControl and ConfigurationStart All Jobs to restart the Perspectium jobs for your instance.

  • You can now use dynamic share to create flow to send records out of your ServiceNow instance even with setWorkflow set to false

  • You can now use the meshlet approach to create an integration between ServiceNow and Cherwell

  • You can now create change request integrations with customers in the Service Provider Gateway

  • You can now setup the DataSync Agent for Snowflake through the Agent Installer


On dynamic shares you are no longer restricted from using "Include Journal Fields" when "Business Rule When" is set to "Before". Instead, a warning message is displayed to notify users that "Include Journal Fields" should not be checked when sharing to another ServiceNow instance or SIAM integration.

  • You are now prompted to confirm when deleting messages in the inbound/outbound tables
