To prepare your ServiceNow instance for an upgrade to the Gold release, follow these steps:
Read the Release Notes
Check out the Gold Release Notes for InstanceSync, DataSync, ServiceBond, ServiceOps, and Service Provider Gateway below to determine whether the features, enhancements, and fixes in the release are necessary to improve the performance of your Perspectium integration.
Stop all Perspectium jobs
Log into any ServiceNow instances that have Perspectium update sets committed to them, and click Perspectium > Control and Configuration > Stop All Jobs to stop running all Perspectium jobs on each instance.
Preview and commit new update sets
Contact Perspectium Support to request download links for the Gold update sets that apply to your Perspectium integration. Then, preview and commit the update sets to the applicable instances.
Run Finish Install scripts and start all Perspectium jobs
After committing Gold update sets to your instance, navigate to Perspectium > Control and Configuration > Finish Install and click Confirm to run the Perspectium Finish Install scripts. Then, click Perspectium > Control and Configuration > Start All Jobs to restart the Perspectium jobs for your instance.
Tasks pointing to the same database and server will allocate and start only one table stats collector to avoid placing excessive load on the agent and the database.
You can now configure the number of times the DataSync agent will retry after a SQL error
You can now use the meshlet approach to create an integration between ServiceNow and Cherwell
You can now create change request integrations with customers in the Service Provider Gateway
You can now setup the DataSync Agent for Snowflake through the Agent Installer
On dynamic shares you are no longer restricted from using "Include Journal Fields" when "Business Rule When" is set to "Before". Instead, a warning message is displayed to notify users that "Include Journal Fields" should not be checked when sharing to another ServiceNow instance or SIAM integration.
You are now prompted to confirm when deleting messages in the inbound/outbound tables
Sys_triggers can no longer be deleted for sharing jobs
