Table Compare by Share allows you to compare records from ServiceNow with a database by comparing the records shared out per share. This way you can ensure that the bulk shares (along with deletes shared by dynamic shares) were captured in the database properly.


Prerequisites

(warning) Enable sending receipt functionality for data guarantee must be active. 

(warning) Enable subscribing receipt functionality for data guarantee must be active.


Compare existing records with bulk share

To get started with comparing existing records with bulk share, follow these procedures:



Create a bulk share 

Follow the procedures to create a new bulk share here without executing the bulk share. 


Enable table compare on the bulk share

Check the Advanced option. Then, under the Advanced tab, check the Table Compare option. 


Access Table Compare by Share

After the bulk share has completed, navigate to Perspectium > DataSync > Tools. Click Table Compare: ServiceNow to Database. Then, click Table Compare by Share: ServiceNow to Database.  


Select the bulk share 

Select the bulk shares you want to use in the table compare. Or, you can click Select All to select all the bulk shares for table compare. 

(info) NOTE: You will need to select bulk shares that have been executed already to start table compare. 


Run table compare

Click Run Table Compare to start executing the table compare. Or, click Schedule Table Compare to have the table compare configuration run on a scheduled basis.



Compare deleted records with dynamic share

To get started with comparing deleted records with dynamic share, follow these procedures:



Create a dynamic share 

Follow the procedures to create a new dynamic share here.


Enable delete action

In the Trigger Conditions tab, check the Delete option. The deleted records will be tracked in the receipts table.  


Access Table Compare by Share

Navigate to Perspectium > DataSync > Tools. Click Table Compare: ServiceNow to Database. Then, click Table Compare by Share: ServiceNow to Database.  


Select the dynamic share 

Select the dynamic shares you want to use in the table compare. Or, you can click Select All to select all the dynamic shares for table compare. 



Run table compare

Click Run Table Compare to start executing the table compare. Or, click Schedule Table Compare to have the table compare configuration run on a scheduled basis.
