By default, dynamic shares will share records for the table you select as well as any associated child table records for that table. By checking the option Share base table only, the dynamic share will only share records for the table you select from the Table dropdown in the dynamic share form.

In the example pictured below, if you were to share the cmdb_ci table, the subscribing instance would receive only cmdb_ci records and not the associated cmdb_ci_hardware, cmdb_ci_computer, cmdb_ci_server, and cmdb_ci_linux_server records.


Prerequisites

(warning) First you, will need to follow the steps to get started with Replicator and create a dynamic share.

Procedure

To share records from the table selected from the Table dropdown only, follow these steps:

Log into your sharing ServiceNow instance and navigate to Perspectium > Replicator > Dynamic Share or simply type and then click Dynamic Share in the Filter Navigator on the upper left-hand side of the screen.

Click the timestamp next to the name of the dynamic share you want to share the base table only for.

Under the Trigger Conditions tab, check the Share base table only box to start sharing records for the table you select from the Table dropdown. No child records associated with your selected table will be dynamic shared.

In the upper right-hand corner of the form, click Update to save your changes.
