Data Guarantee generates receipts for messages that have been shared out of ServiceNow. Receipts will be generated after creating a dynamic share or creating a bulk share and setting up a subscriber, such as another ServiceNow instance. Message receipts indicate the delivery status for records that you have shared out, allowing you to quickly identify successfully shared out records as well as any records that have not yet been shared out. Receipt delivery statuses include:

  • Success Your records were shared out successfully

  • Pending The subscribing instance is still processing the records you are trying to share out

  • Error Your records were not shared out successfully

Deleting Message Receipts

Receipts with a Success status will be automatically deleted. To delete receipts with either a Pending or Error status:

  1. In the ServiceNow instance you are sharing from, navigate to Perspectium > Tools > Receipts.

  2. Check the checkbox next to the Receipt record you want to delete.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the Actions on selected rows dropdown. Then, click Delete.

By default, receipt is set to be rotated to optimize instance performance. The duration set for rotation is 30 days and 12 rotations at a time. As a result, receipts will generally only be available for up to 30 days. If you prefer to maintain receipts for a longer period of time, you can delete the table rotation entry or change the duration and rotations to be higher.
